The EFRUD European project is working on a prototype for urban distribution of perishable goods which will minimize the environmental impact (emissions and noise) on cities and improve transport efficiency.

The Directive on the Promotion of Clean and Energy Efficient Road Transport Vehicles (DIRECTIVE 2009/33/EC) aims at a broad market introduction of environmentally-friendly vehicles. The Clean Vehicle Directive requires that energy and environmental impacts linked to the operation of vehicles over their whole lifetime are taken into account in purchase decisions.

Colonnine verdi in nove Regioni grazie all'impegno dell'Autorità per l'Energia che ha dato il via libera alle agevolazioni previste per 5 progetti pilota - selezionati in base alla delibera ARG/elt 96/11 - che prevedono la realizzazione di oltre 1000 stazioni di ricarica per veicoli elettrici distribuite sull'intero territorio nazionale.
